Question: Open Delta Connection/ Interphase Connections |
|
Answer: Open Delta Connection/ Interphase Connections
This is a term used for describing the connection of two single phase transformers for use in a 3 phase power supply for transforming a 3 phase voltage. The open delta is the same as the closed delta described above except that one transformer is removed from the closed delta circuit. Open delta is less expensive but it presents certain limitations as compared with normal 3 phase connections. |
