Question: What is a Step-down Transformer? |
|
Answer: A step-down transformer is one in which the input (primary) windings exceed in number the output (secondary) windings, thus the ratio of voltage is from the high voltage winding to a low voltage winding or windings. The offset is current, which is higher in the secondary than it is in the primary. |
